EV Tax Credit Updates for 2025

The Section 30D Clean Vehicle Tax Credit is a federal incentive to make electric vehicle ownership more affordable. Since January 1, 2025, there have been some new eligibility rules for this section. At Monadnock Ford, we are here to help you understand these changes so that you can maximize the tax incentives that are available.

Which Vehicles Qualify for the 2025 Clean Vehicle Tax Credit?

Which Vehicles Qualify

If you're looking to take advantage of the 30D Clean Vehicle Tax Credit in 2025, here are the Ford electric vehicles that qualify:

  • F-150 Lightning XLT (2024 and 2025 models)
  • F-150 Lightning Flash (2024 and 2025 models)
  • F-150 Lightning LARIAT (2024 and 2025 models)

Keep in mind that to qualify, the MSRP must be $80,000 or less. For tax credit eligibility, MSRP includes the base retail price set by the manufacturer plus the cost of any factory-installed accessories or optional equipment. However, it does not cover destination charges, dealer-added options, taxes, or fees.
